What is a Smile Makeover?

A smile makeover is a customized treatment plan created for each unique patient. Each plan may include:

Three Types of Smile Makeovers

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of the teeth and gums. General dentistry, on the other hand, focuses on the overall health of the teeth and gums. Cosmetic dentistry also focuses on improving the appearance of the smile, but it goes beyond just improving the appearance of teeth. Cosmetic dentistry helps patients feel good about their smiles, which improves the overall quality of life.

Porcelain Veneers Options

Porcelain veneers offer a permanent solution for patients who want beautiful, natural looking teeth. This is one of the most conservative cosmetic treatments available, as only a tiny amount of enamel is etched away per tooth. Veneers can improve the appearance of stained teeth, gaps and chips, and misalignment.

Chairside Composite Veneers

Chairside composite veneers are made of composite resin material. Composite veneers can be molded and shaped into the perfect smile line for the patient. The composite resin material also mimics the color and appearance of natural tooth enamel.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation with Porcelain Veneers

When patients are missing all of their teeth, full mouth rehabilitation may be necessary. Full mouth rehabilitation, or full mouth restoration, includes replacing all of the teeth with an implant supported denture. This prosthetic is permanently placed in the mouth, and patients can expect it to last for the rest of their lives. This treatment is ideal for those who are missing all of their teeth, or who have severely cracked, fractured, or broken teeth.

Full mouth rehabilitation involves identifying and treating underlying oral conditions. If there are missing teeth, they will be replaced. Missing teeth can weaken your jaw bone and cause it to shift out of place. Shifting teeth can cause severe bite problems, uneven tooth wear, speech difficulty, and sensitivity.

Using a combination of procedures, a smile makeover can correct a myriad of issues. Some of the treatments commonly performed are:
