"Coronal Polishing for the Certified Dental Assistant is a comprehensive lecture and hands-on course consisting of instruction in basic anatomy, classification of stains and indication of appropriate procedures for polishing the clinical crowns of teeth. Under the supervision of qualified dental personnel all participants in this Ohio State Dental Board approved course will have the opportunity to practice on anatomical models and lab partners. Dental Assistants must be willing to participate as both clinician and patient and provide documentation of certification status (CDA or EFDA), Hepatitis B inoculation, and current CPR certification upon enrollment."
This course is clinical in nature. Participants should wear appropriate clinical attire, lab coats (or disposable gowns) and bring protective eyewear.
